One of the last shoots that I did in 2012, was with the same family that I photographed when I first got back in the country from Peru in May 2012…the Hilderbrands.  Since our May shoot was on the beach, they decided to do their 2012 Christmas Card shoot in a more urban setting: Ybor City.  Cadence and Caleb were the perfect little models (and Jeff and Carey didn’t look too shabby either).

Enjoy!

And the little Christmas flare by Salty Sisters Junk:

Their one year anniversary is in one month and one day away and this post is going up for the first time, having waited to be published today on the lovely STYLE ME PRETTY blog.  Definitely check out their post and then continue reading here!

Stacey and Josh had one of the most perfectly put together weddings I have ever seen.  It was a historic-Tampa inspired wedding with a southern twist and a flash of  yellow and magenta that brought everything together perfectly.  They were married in Hyde Park Presbyterian Church in South Tampa and held their reception at the historic Italian Club in Ybor City.

Besides that fact that Stacey and Josh are really fun people, they’re also close friends -which made capturing the moments of their wedding day really special.

Special thanks to Kenzo (my hubs) for side shooting with me!

Enjoy.

We had a first LOOK!  Which made picture taking post-ceremony super easy! And also gave them a moment to just be the two of them (with us behind the cameras):

This bride is ready to walk the aisle . . .

After the ceremony, the wedding party and I rushed over to Ybor City to take advantage of the dwindling sunlight, Ybor streets and empty reception hall during the cocktail hour:

LOVED the furniture, draping, flowers and table settings done by MMD Events!

And then the reception began:

All of the amazing signage you see was done by Angelique of Salty Sisters!

This might have been the funniest cake cutting ever.  They tried a slice from every layer since each was a different flavor.  Awesome job by A Piece of Cake!

And then the dancing began!

The amazing photo booth, provided by Shutterbooth, is always a hit!

Yes – there was some FSU and UF loving going on . . . and their guests definitely chimed in:

Bouquet toss from the balcony . . . plus . . .
. . .a the beautiful sparkler send-off . . . equals . . .

happily. ever. after.

Watch the SLIDESHOW with these and more images.

Love you guys!

This might be one of my favorite shoots of all time – it doesn’t hurt when you have a beautiful girl who wants to have some chic photos taken in her dance clothes, perfect light and a chic setting.  I was editing these photos this week in Peru and the little girl I live with saw them and said “she’s pretty – is she pretty on the inside?”  I answered – “even prettier”.  I feel like you have to know that about Natalie before seeing the rest of these photos – she is fun, smart, driven, energetic, down to earth and generally just awesome to be around {I miss her}.  She is one 13 year old who has a world wide open to her.  Natalie, thanks for a fun shoot!

PS…in case you were wondering, yes this is Natalie from Natalie Rae Photography who has helped me photograph two {1 & 2} weddings now!  Enjoy.

Dunia and Diego

August 30, 2011

Dunia and Diego had a precious wedding day! Having already had their ceremony, it was a day to celebrate their union with their family and a few friends. After a sweet first look at Dunia’s parents’ house (which you can see in their slideshow), the adorable couple and I took a detour to Ybor City to take some chic wedding day portraits before meeting up with their friends and family for a delicious lunch at Maggiano’s.

Enjoy this amazingly good looking and happily in love couple!

Check out their whole day in their SLIDESHOW.

“OMG!”  That is what I was literally thinking as I edited Jessica and Andrew’s engagement photos.  I am so lucky to have such fun clients who decide to live out their love in front of my camera lens.  I met Jessica and Andrew at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City to snap some fun shots inside the wine cellar as well as outside by the beautiful tiled wall . . .

The photo with the wine bottle above is meaningful because that is Jessica’s grandfather on the bottle!

We then headed to Curtis Hixon Park for more photos…I love the way they’re looking at one another in the one below.

I’m not going to lie, I am kind of obsessed with the way the trees turned out in the background of the photos above and the one below.

After lots of photos around the park…we decided to take some in the water fountains . . . and as you will see, it evolved from there . . .

I mean seriously, what a fun couple…unafraid to just go with the flow and soak up the spontaneous moments in life.

Jessica and Andrew – THANK YOU for such a fun shoot and thank you for your patience in waiting for your images.  I wish you many blessings in your future together!
