Nhi and Robert got married on a hot summer morning in August at the beautiful Rusty Pelican Restaurant.  The parasols that they provided for their guests were perfect protection from the brilliant sun, but even more, were perfect for photographs!

I wanted to thank the people who brought this day together:

Flowers:  Fish Hawk Weddings

Cake:  A Piece of Cake

Caterer:  The Rusty Pelican

DJs:  Josh Brown with ML Productions, Inc

Before I go on, I have to mention that I had the pleasure of having Natalie Rae alongside me as my second shooter – you might remember her from her work on Annesophia and Adam’s wedding.  Throughout the entire day I introduced her as the youngest professional photographer in Tampa – I believe you’re 13, right Natalie?  But she is so talented!   Unfortunately her logo was saved on my computer which is in the shop…but, I will try to point out several of the beautiful photos she took during this wedding.  She was especially focused on macro photos – which turned out amazingly!

Now, without further ado . . .

Enjoy these precious moments from their wedding day!

(Gorgeous Natalie Rae Photography details above!)

(you guys are perfect!)

Nhi and Robert – Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing Natalie and I to capture the moments of your beautiful wedding day.  AND thank you for your patience, as you had to wait while I moved out of the country, dealt with a broken computer and adjusting to a new (volunteer) job – you guys are awesome.  Blessings in your future together!

beauty in a {teaser}

October 6, 2011

Nhi certainly was a beautifully elegant bride.

I am shaking with excitement as I finish editing the photos from her and Robert‘s wedding day.

I will be sharing their full wedding day post on Saturday – so don’t miss out.

Until then, enjoy Nhi’s beauty radiating in these three images.

I always ask my couples to tell me their stories because I love to know about the details that brought them together.  I think that Rachel’s sweet summary can do more justice than my own words.  So . . .

“Jason and Rachel met in January 2008 at the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion in Tampa.  Although they had several mutual friends, and had (according to Jason) been to at least one party where the other was present, they had not yet made acquaintances.  While greeting some of her friends with hugs, Rachel saw Jason looking at her and said, “Am I supposed to know you?”  They spent the day together at the parade and talked through the evening at which point they exchanged phone numbers . . .”

“Several days later, with still no word from Jason, Rachel was convinced by a friend to call him and invite him to happy hour.  They spent the entire night talking so exclusively that at one point, they looked up to see their friends walking out the door, having paid and left without them even noticing. . . .”

“After that, Jason and Rachel’s relationship progressed quickly.  Before long there were nightly telephone calls, dates to friends’ weddings, introductions to family, and weekends away.  It became clear to the couple and to their families and friends how much Jason and Rachel valued and cared for each other.  Through job changes and health issues they have supported one another, letting their love for each other grow stronger every day.

They are excited to see what the future holds and where their love may lead them.”

If their wedding is any indication of their future, it should be blessed and beautiful!  Enjoy these images from their day.

And, special thanks to Erin from Memories by Erin Leigh for being such a fun side-shooter and wedding guest!

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:

when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

~Charles Dickens

It is April 1st, 2011.  That seems crazy to me.  This year is flying by and Spring and Sunshine and Beach Days and Vacations and Flowers and Easter and Picnics are on their way.  I promise.  Even though yesterday we had tornadoes throughout the county and snow across the country, I know that it is on its way.  So let’s get excited and anticipate this season of new beginnings – just like the beginning of this beautiful marriage between Rachel and Jason . . . the beginning of this month full of hope and new life . . . the beginning of a new story for you to write into your life today.

Happy spring and happy weekend!
