If someone offered you the opportunity to go back to your senior year of high school, would you do it? I am sure there are some people who would say “no way” and others that would be eager to say “yes please”. As my ten year high school reunion approaches (yes, I was ’01 and these cute girls are ’11) I think that I would be in the second group and say yes. Senior year is a bitter sweet time of spending time with friends that you’ve invested in over the past four years (or twelve). A time of celebrating accomplishments, looking ahead with hopes and dreams, crying at the thought of leaving one another and excited for a new start and new adventure. Senior year is a once in a lifetime thing. My only advice would be to soak up every moment.
From spending a couple of hours with these ladies, I believe that they’re doing just that.
Any regular reader of Life Writing Photography blog knows that I am not the best at narrowing down which images to share. Actually for this shoot, my brother Matt came with me so in total I think we took 1400 photos in 2 hours. Crazy I know. And even crazier to try to decide what I wanted you to see. So . . . you’re going to get a break down of our session in two different posts. And I will try to point out the awesome photos that Matt took (most of which will be in Thursday evening’s post . . . but one great one is the very next photo:).
McKenzie, Abby, Brittany, Paige, Hannah, Hadley, Marilyn, Caitlyn, Paige, and Julia THANK YOU for spending a fun evening with Matt and me. Congratulations on being seniors. I hope you have an amazing year!
Enjoy!
