Alexa and Eric got married last November and I had the pleasure of being the second photographer for the beginning of their wedding day (and their guest at the reception :) ). The day and the bride, the setting, the details and their love for one another could not have been more beautiful. I wanted to share their wedding day from my perspective…starting with their beautiful post-ceremony portraits and ending with a couple of shots that I happened to snap at the end of their reception.

Allie and Karl had a simplistically sweet wedding on Tybee Island, GA…a place near and dear to Allie’s heart since she and her family have been vacationing there since she was a toddler. From the beginning of the day until the end when they were both in comfy clothes dancing with friends, what struck me was their relaxed nature and complete lack of anxiety. They are incredibly in love and find deep comfort with one another and I think their photos reveal that. In true Life Writing Photography style, we’re going to start with some portraits and then get into the day’s order of events.
Amy and Will had an intimate wedding ceremony on Folly Beach in SC. It was just them, their officiant, Hope and me and it just happened to be a windy evening right before the arrival of a storm. I have to admit the weather was crazy. The sun was a little too bright when we started and perfect when we left. But overall, I feel like their love, their go-with-the-flowness, and their excitement to be one another’s person forever shines through these photos.
Jordan and Jordan got married in front of an intimate group of family and friends on Folly Beach. It was extra special that Jordan’s (bride) grandfather was performing the ceremony under a trellis that Jordan’s (groom) family built.
What a beautiful wedding day! Sarah and John B could not have been more fun and real – and it truly was an honor to photograph their love on their special day. I was fortunate to know the bride and groom and several of the wedding party, which is always super special for me. I also had my cousin tag along for some side shooting . . . this was her first wedding and she got some great shots! I was especially excited when she got to go be with the boys while they were getting ready and grabbed some photos that we otherwise wouldn’t have.
