There is nothing like a new human life – a little one, all wrinkly, opening his eyes but not really seeing too much, crying, yawning, sleeping and trying to adjust to this new world that he has just entered.
“Children are a gift from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3) – I could not agree more.

Sweet baby Charlie let Jaimie and me take his photos only a week after he came to this earth. Many more to come, but for now – be blessed by the serenity and beauty of this {little} one.

I cannot get over how incredibly presh (as in precious) this cute little boy Beckett is. Beckett is the son of our great friends Ben and Katherine Harrell . . . actually they were first Kenzo’s good friends from high school – Ben and Kenzo grew up playing soccer with Ben, and they were both in one anothers weddings. Unfortunately we do not get to see them too often, but whenever we’re up on W. Virginia (like this past winter) we try to meet up with them. This was our first time meeting Beckett- and we both fell in love. Enjoy these few photos I took when Katherine and I snuck up stairs with him for a little while.

These two beautiful little red heads are the daughters of a dear friend of mine from Davidson, Mary. Mary, Adam, Katie and Caroline were in Florida for the week and dropped by Tampa to hang out for a night. It was SO fun to see them! I had actually not seen Mary and Adam since their wedding in January of 2005, so it had been awhile.
I fell in love with Katie and Caroline and was grateful for the chance to be able to gift this family with some family photos before they move to Asia in January. The beach was COLD and WINDY but that did not stop Katie from playing and dancing in the water in a dress. She was an amazing sport until a wave hit her and she got soaked and the photo shoot was over :)

I downloaded the photos and was showing them to Katie when she started asking if we could change things around. The creation below was completely her imagination running as I made the changes that she asked for. Here was her final product:
